They make you sigh, and make you want to hang out with a significant other. They give you a glimpse of what God intended romance to be. They are so inspiring.

You know my movie tastes are all across the board, but most "chick flicks" adhere to this storyline:
-Girl, guy or both lacking something in life or tragedy occurs. -Girl and guy meet by chance. -Someone has some issue that the other wants to solve in them. -Guy and girl hit it off. -Guy and girl have pre-marital sex. -Guy and girl break up. -Guy and girl are consoled by their friends. -Guy and girl realize they acted badly. -Girl and guy get back together because of raging emotion. -Passionate kiss or tragedy occurs. -End credits
These are the ones I can't stand. Not all of them adhere to this structure, but most do. I prefer "Romantic Comedies", even though they are often labeled as "Chick Flicks".
